His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank, Mr. Ali Al Alaq, held a meeting in the city of Erbil with Mr. Wadee Al Handal, the Chairman of the Iraqi Private Banks League, and representatives of private banks operating in the region. During the meeting, several issues concerning the banking sector were discussed, including external relations, credit, financial inclusion, banking expansion, and the establishment of the Riyada Bank to support small and medium enterprises, as well as the financial center in Iraq. The IPBL's chairman emphasized the importance of the banking sector financing infrastructure projects that directly serve the people, in a contribution that supports the private sector and helps resolve the problems facing the country.
