The Iraqi Private Banks League has partnered with the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) to enhance the Innovation for Financial Inclusion program (in4f). The signing ceremony was attended by the CEO of the League, Ali Tariq, and GIZ's Regional Director for Iraq, Mr. Lutz Zimmermann, along with representatives from the Central Bank of Iraq and the European Union.
This program aims to support and promote financial institutions to develop new products, innovate, and finance micro, small, and medium-sized projects that expand financial inclusion to new segments of society. Specialized program implementation under this agreement will contribute by increasing economic integration within the community, achieving sustainable development objectives, and reducing poverty and unemployment.
