Iraqi Private Banks League concluded Financial Inclusion Week activities, held under the patronage of the Central Bank of Iraq and supported by the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ), spanning Baghdad, Basra, Salah Al-Din, Kirkuk, Erbil, and Sulaymaniyah over a full week.
Over 50 banks, electronic payment firms, small and medium enterprise finance providers, and the Iraq Company for Bank Guarantees participated in the event. Banks and companies offered free services to citizens, including account openings, electronic payment card issuance, and loan access.
The initiative aimed to promote financial inclusion, expand banking awareness across Iraqi society, and encourage integration into the formal financial system through a series of governorate-level events.
