The Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Bankers, Wissam H. Fattouh, honored the Chairman of the Iraqi Private Banks League, Wadee Al-Handel, on Saturday in recognition of his outstanding contributions to various fields.
Fattouh described Al-Handel as "a leading and highly distinguished figure, known for his remarkable entrepreneurial qualities in the economic and banking sectors," adding that "Al-Handel, who graduated from Baghdad University, pursued his ambitions by establishing his own enterprises."
The World Union of Arab Bankers awarded Al-Handel "in acknowledgment of his significant role in advancing and supporting Iraq's banking sector, in addition to his extensive efforts in supporting community initiatives."
Among Al-Handel’s notable initiatives are the rehabilitation of the old city of Baghdad and support for various humanitarian and social projects, which reflect his deep commitment to social responsibility and sustainable development.
